2012 AUSTRALIAN FITNESS AND HEALTH EXPO

Hi Pole lovers!!

Sorry it’s been a while since my last post – it’s been hectic central in pole world lately, most notably with the Australian Fitness and Health Expo which took place April 27-29 at the Convention Centre at Darling Harbour in stunning Sydney.
Can you pick the best looking stand?!

Online store Pole Athletica® Fitness Apparel were out in force to exhibit their brand-new Core Collection and, as the only offline stockists, the Studio Verve® team were out in force to represent that brand, which is the official fitness wear brand of Studio Verve® PoleFit® students and teachers.

Instructors Jen, Twee and I were there, as well as the lovely Clare and level 5 student Jane Smith was a massive help when she hung out with us on Sunday.

It was really interesting to see how much the Expo had evolved from our last exhibition there as Studio Verve® back in 2008 and how much that world was now not just accepting alternative forms of fitness like Pole, but embracing them. There was Zumba, Yoga, Aerial Arts, Belly Dancing and pretty much everything else you could imagine, as well as a big pole dancing presence.

These nutty pole monkies climbed EVERYTHING at this year's expo!

As pole dancers at Studio Verve®, we know how well the Pole Athletica® gear suits our style of fitness, but it was great to see women from all fitness backgrounds loving the fabrics, unique designs and quality of all the clothes. We even had fitness model Alicia Marie, creator of the Booty Bible at our stand swooning over our shorts! Now if only my bum could sit up like hers does…

It was fabulous to have so many of our beautiful Verve® students out to support Pole Athletica® and to explore the expo. As soon as our new students start to see results from their PoleFit® classes, they get more and more into all things fitness related and it’s great to see. Emma and Tatiana snapped up some specials on some new boxing gear, Konstanze, Andrea, Sam and Steph went nuts with all the fashion discounts and Natalie got a new Yoga mat for PoleFit® conditioning basically for free!

It was great to catch up with the lovely Stacey Clarke from www.poledanceaus.com who paid us a visit, and all our visitors nabbed a bargain on the Pole Athletica® gear (the hot pink was pretty popular, of course!) A lot of our customers were loving how the Pole Athletica® clothes are all a little different in terms of design. The Flashdance Backless Hoodies went OFF, so did the Scheherazade and Amira harem pants (which, personally, I cannot take off. I bought 3 pairs to have on constant rotation), and of course, everyone loved how there is a pair of shorts to suit every shape and exercise, from pole to Pilates.

Monkies strike again. Pole Athletica has you feeling like you can do anything!!

Thanks to all our supporters and keep wearing your Pole Athletica® gear to class – everyone looks so great and, who knows? You might find your sexy butt on my blog!

Had to share this one - talk about alternative fitness. These are the sexiest weights I've ever seen!

Happy Pole-ing x
